Writer's Digest

I ordered a two year subscription to Writer's Digest magazine. It was a bargain at only 20 bucks. I figure if it does anything to inspire or educate me it is well worth the cash. And buying it at Borders it out of the question. The same two years worth of magazines would be about 140 dollars there.

Song Lyrics of the Day

Let's rearrange
I wish you were a stranger
I could disengage
Say that we agree
and then never change
Soften a bit
until we all just
get along
But that's disregard......
Everyone knows
I'm in Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime.....
Everyone knows
I'm in Over my head
Over my head

Yahoo search

I used to find this blog by going to yahoo search engine and typing in Aspiring Romance Writer and it would be the first entry. For some strange reason now I have to type in Aspiring Romance Writer song lyrics for it to be the first entry.

Challenge

The yahoo group I belong to suggested all the members use this writing prompt for a practice story. From The Writer's Book of Matches.
"You would think that after twenty years, I'd know better."

Song Lyrics of the Day

Well everything was easy then,
so sweet
and innocent
But your demons and your angels
reappeared
Leavin' all the traces
of the man you thought you'd be
Leavin' me with no place
left to go from here
Leavin' me so many questions
all these years.....
Butterflies
are free to fly,
and so they fly away
And I'm left to carry on
and wonder why?
Even through it all,
I'm always on your side

On Blogging

I think blogging begats blogging. This blog was my first foray into the blogging world but since then I have started one other blog. And I think about starting a few more:
1. to discuss the never ending life long battle I constantly have to lose weight.
2. to rant and rave about the reality shows I watch.
But I am not going to start any more blogs. I barely have the chance to update this blog let alone two more. But I Am finding that it is thearupetic to spill my thoughts out into cyber space. It makes this desire to become a published writer REAL to me and the rest of the world.

Song Lyrics of the Day
You see all my life
I have never found
what I couldn't resist
what I couldn't turn down
I could walk away
from everyone I ever knew
But I can't walk away from you....

You know it should be easy
for a man that's strong
to say he's sorry
or admit when he's wrong

I never lost anything
I've ever missed
But I've never been in love like this

It's out of my hands
I'm shameless

The Life of an Aspiring Romance Writer

The Life of an Aspiring Romance Writer

Check out this writer's blog. I thought I would link to her since she was nice enough to leave a comment on my blog.

Different Day, Same Story

I haven't posted in this blog in a few weeks. I wish I could say that I have been busy working on my novel but I am so far removed from my project now I would need a flashlight and a guide to get back to it. I have been enjoying the recent 80 degree weather in Northwest Indiana and dreaming about summer instead of writing.
Song Lyrics of the Day
He never promised
that the cross would not get heavy
And the hill would not be
hard to climb
He never offered
our victories without fighting
But He said
help would always come in time!
Just remember
when your standing
in the valley of decision
And the adversary says
give in
Just hold on!
Our Lord will show up......
And He will take you through the fire again
